Hi everyone. I've taken the plunge and bought a second hand AXYZ cnc 4008.New CNC machine by frostie's, on Flickr
I'd like to get Aspire but have a few technical type questions
I have to run windows xp as the controller is of the old type so says AXYZ. Can I still use aspire?
Will I need to purchase a post processor for aspire to work?
At the moment the machine only uses tool path but I'd like to use Apire and some sort pf package that I can draw simple shapes to cnc straight from the cnc machine.
AXYZ have said it may be worth upgrading to a a2mc controller but at £9000 its a bit steep and cant really work out if its worth upgrading. What are the benefits.
