I was looking around for a guide like this before I fixed the Silky Smooth skin (after the October 2020 patch broke it) and I could not find one. So I figured I would make my own!

Other people have reported the same problem I'm having on other forums. The general consensus is that something in the latest update has effected the ability to use our own default skins. I for one don't like it. One of the things I've always liked about the Sims (all versions) was my ability to customize it to my personal liking. Steps:
1) Open Sims4 Studio
2) Go to MyProjects
3) Select yourskin. It should open into a new window.
4) On the new window, make sureyou select data. Click on the first “RLE 2” part.
5) Selectthe text next to “Type.” Right now, it is “3453CF95.” Change it to “2BC04EDF”
6) Do thisfor the remaining “RLE” parts, then save the file. Do this for all the packages of thedefault skin, then they should work in your game.
